Terms of Use
These terms set out the rules for using the Zebo app. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
What Zebo is
Zebo is an iPhone app that teaches Turkish to speakers of Uzbek, Russian and English. The course runs from A1 to C2 and consists of lessons, exercises, spoken audio and an AI assistant.
Price
The app is free. This release contains nothing to buy inside the app and shows no advertising. If paid features are added in future they will be announced separately, and course content that is already free will not be put behind a paywall.
Account
Signing up is not required. If you sign in with your Apple account, your progress is stored on the server. You are responsible for the use of your own account; attempting to access someone else's account is prohibited.
About the teaching content
Lessons and translations are prepared carefully, but Zebo does not guarantee a diploma, a certificate or preparation for an official language exam. The CEFR levels (A1 to C2) describe how the course is organised; they are not a formal assessment. The AI assistant's replies can be wrong; where it matters, rely on the lesson material itself.
Acceptable use
Use the app for your own personal study. Reverse engineering the app, tampering with it, placing excessive load on our servers with automated tools, or copying and redistributing course material is prohibited. The AI chat must not be used for unlawful or abusive purposes.
Copyright
The app, its name, design, codebase, course texts, 287 scene illustrations and audio recordings belong to us. The data you create — your study record and your chat messages — remains yours.
Continuity of service
Lesson images and audio are downloaded from the server, so they require an internet connection. The server may be temporarily unavailable, and the service may change. The app is provided as it is, with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or decisions taken in reliance on the app. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. In case of a serious breach of these terms, we may suspend access.
Apple
Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no obligation to provide support for Zebo. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
